Chainsaw Carving Your Favorite Sports Mascots Part 2; Knights, Lions, Bears & Hawks

The fall season is upon us and the sports are back in action. Football is a huge sport that is followed by many sports fans alike. It is an action packed sport and people love to follow their favorite. Whether you follow football, baseball or any other sports you most likely own some memorabilia! It is a great way to show your pride in your team. Most people know the team by the name but also by the mascots. Mascots are used in many different circumstances. They are part of what will help to draw in your energy and get you excited when you watch. They also represent some part of the team and what you might think about that mascot could also be what you think of the team. You won’t find many teams with an ant as a mascot even though they are strong for their size, they don’t offer much in the way of stature and fear! The most commonly used mascots made the list for a reason. Most of them are used over and over again among the sports teams and for good reason. Last week’s blog outlined the four most popular mascots in sports; Eagles, Tigers, Bulldogs and Panthers.

Carve Me A Bear! Chainsaw Carving Lists The Next Four Most Commonly Used Mascots In Sports.

Knights: The knight is another commonly used mascot within the sporting community. They are a great option for a hardworking and well prepared team. The knight is a fighter that has done nothing except train to come up against an opponent. They are well versed in the art of fighting and will not stop until they are victorious.
Lions: Just like the big cat that was mentioned about the lion is a great option for a team. They are literally called the king of the jungle. With the males large presence they are intimidating to nearly any other animal. The team is telling their opponent that they are not scared of a fight.
Bears: Another very commonly used mascot in sports is of course the bear! When you think of an animal that incites fear, the bear is on the top of the list. There are many species of bears that are used but the brown or black bear are the most common. They are protective when they are caring for those they love and will fight fearlessly. When a team wants to come across as strong and ready for a fight a bear is the way to go. When it comes to bears they are also most commonly asked for in a chainsaw carving.
Hawks: There are numerous species of hawks that are found all over the US. They are a quiet assassin that will come in from above and take out small prey that they can spot from a far distance. Hawks are a great option for a team that wants to say they are watching closely and will swoop in at the last moment.
