What Materials Are Used to Make Native American Clothing?: The interesting thing about the Native American people is that they are great at using everything they can and not wasting materials. When they go out to hunt they not only have food to eat but they can make tools from the bones and clothes from the hide. This is the main source of material for Native American clothing. The tribes will hunt in the area that they live so the animal hides they use will depend on their catch. There are some that use deer while others will use bison.
